Princess Dresser Redo

I scooped this dresser up for $10 (!) for my daughter last year.

Of course, I forgot to take good before pictures.  It had gotten really yellowed and the varnish that was on it originally was cracked and lifting. I knew I wanted to paint it, but it took me a long time to decide on a color. Originally, I thought I might do a funky color to try and add some color to her room. We are renters and can't paint the white walls, unless we want to paint them back to white before we move. No thanks. I opted to paint the main living area, but other than that I'll have to add color in other ways. Anyhoo, back to the dresser....I tried white milk paint first, but it wasn't coating correctly and ended up just annoying me. So, I dug up some old white satin paint and got to work. It turned out better than I had expected. The sweet little details like the keyholes and curved legs are too cute!  I love how white paint can completely transform a piece of furniture. I added some clear wax once the paint was dry to add a little extra durability since my little miss tends to "decorate" her things with stickers and markers. With some crystal knobs and the mirror in place, Little Miss now has a perfect princess dresser.
